RISING STARS: Meet Tasha Nicole Terani

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Nicole Terani.

Hi Tasha Nicole, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

I started this life with someone! I just don’t know who she is. I don’t know my biological mother or my biological father. I was found in an alleyway as a baby and swiftly brought to an orphanage. I was approximately two years old when I was adopted and brought to the United States.

I struggled to fit in as a child thrust into a new family. A family to which I did not belong. I grew up in Westlake Village, California. However, I bounced around a bit from age 12-26 years old. Minnesota, Los Angeles, Italy, Atlanta, and New York. I’ve lived in many different cities over the years! When I decided to start my soccer business, the TNT Soccer System, I knew it had to be in Southern California.

The year was 2000, I was bouncing back and forth from Atlanta to New York for modeling jobs. It’s the year I made the choice to change my life’s direction. In a moment of passion, harnessing instinct and all of my courage within, I quit the modeling business. I decided to start following my heart and listening to the voice within!

I finally let go of the survival mode I’d been in since birth. I let go of the fight I was battling within myself. The fight to ignore everything that had happened to me in the past. The struggle to fit, I was over it. I quit modeling and just started trying to figure myself out. I started digging deeper and facing the truth about what happened to me. I began turning all of my journals over the years into a book.

Slowly but surely as I wrote, I healed. I discovered that the pen had always been my therapist all along. Since childhood, I loved writing in my diary and over time, I began writing in journals, which I saved. I wrote constantly, every chance I’d get.

Meanwhile, after quitting modeling, I had picked up a new soccer ball and cleats and took to the soccer field to train. Honestly, I didn’t know where it was going to lead me, and I didn’t care. I was free to explore, discover and to follow that little voice within. I was finally free to follow my heart. Sometimes in life, we realize that we hold the key, the key to that prison we think we are in!

I just took the biggest risk of my life. To leave a well-paying consistent job, for the freedom to challenge myself. The freedom to push my limits and become a better person. To me, that meant living a more giving life. Serving others in some magnificent way. That was what was in my heart.

Several months into my new adventure, I realized that I was getting quite good at ball control during my training sessions. I would go out to the park every day. I just absolutely loved being on the field and putting on my soccer shoes. I loved the sensual atmosphere of being close to nature again. I would even train in the pouring rain. Looking back now, I see how beautiful that risk was and the courage it took for me to go so very far out of my comfort zone.

Within a matter of months, I was breaking several soccer world records. The decision I made to quit modeling had just become the greatest decision of my life! I started training kids soon after my first world records. Inevitably, I would make my way back to Southern California to start my TNT Soccer System business. Teaching and mentoring kids through soccer. Teaching them the same techniques that I taught myself to break those records. Over the years, I started creating soccer products for kids with the goal of building their self-confidence. Building them up as individuals in order for them to be strong for their team. The stronger you are on your own, the stronger your team will be.

As of 2023, TNT Soccer System products include Soccer Training via streaming, TNT Soccer Ball, TNT Confidence Training Cones, TNT Confidence Cards, and TNT Confidence bracelets! I have nine world records in soccer. I founded a nonprofit in 2009 called the Every Child’s Dream Foundation for orphaned and abandoned babies and children. We deliver specialty care packages to orphanages, foster care agencies, hospitals, shelters, and disaster relief organizations worldwide. We have reached 98 countries.

My current passion project is a children’s book series I am writing. The book series focuses on unconditional love, nature, and nurture! The books also focus on our relationship with Mother Nature.

The first book in my series, A Tree for Me, will be available later this year.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

The road is never smooth. A smooth road is certainly not as exciting as a road with some hills and valleys! The obstacles on the road create advanced drivers, sharper skills, and better instincts. A smooth road teaches us nothing.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

The thing I am most proud of is to have the ability to work with children and build their confidence. Help them to see they can do anything they want in life. To look further than what they can see with their eyes. To look with their heart and soul and let the inner voice guide you.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?

I believe that the bigger the risk, the greater the reward. Sometimes the reward is just freedom from something that no longer serves you! That is the law of the universe. You risk something or you let go of something in order to rise to the next occasion. To open the door to new energy. Always ask yourself, what do I have to lose?
